Probably you want to remove your old disposer because it is not working properly any more. Before you are going to replace it with the new one we highly recommend that you go through the procedure of troubleshooting and check carefully one more time if it is necessary or not to replace your old disposer with the new one. Double checking may save your time and money. You should definitely try the reset button which is under the disposer or probably check the power supply. You should also check the fly wheel which may be probably stuck and try to check what is stuck inside the lodge, but before turn off the electricity. There may appear such problems like leaks – you have to identify where the leak is coming from, is it from the pipe or from the disposal itself. In some cases you may need to order and to change some parts to stop leaking.

Before starting any works you have to switch off the electricity supply of the garbage disposer. Also, remember that disposers are quite heavy, so when taking off the old one you would have to put some things, on which the old disposers would stand, like for example couple of books or magazines. You would also need some basic instruments like screwdrivers, knife, wrench and pliers for the simple adjusting, fixing and loosing actions.
